21 and engaged.

Yes, I'm a little late with posting this but here is my birthday story!

My birthday was on September 30th and I just turned 21. I literally spent the whole day with Jordon, and I was so happy he could.
He picked me up in the morning and brought me a beautiful big pink rose and cool balloons. He took me to his house and he made my favorite breakfast, which is, waffles with strawberry syrup and sliced bananas on them. It was delicious!

After we ate he took me to go rock climbing. I have gotten a lot better every since our first time going on our second date. We spent a good time  trying to climb the most difficult ones, it was a lot of fun. The day was going by pretty fast to, we spent almost the whole day there. So after a while we got tired and left to get ready for dinner.

I was excited because he planned my whole birthday and it was all of a surprise.
He took me to one of my favorite restaurants which is Tucanos. Man that place is so good, I always think I can eat more, but I always end up getting full after my first plate.
I thought the breakfast, rock climbing and Tucanos was so great I wasn't expecting more stuff, but he had one last surprise for me.

I've been wanting to go star gazing all summer and he never took me, not even once. So he told me that he wanted to take me and asked me what is a good spot to go. I thought Big Cottonwood Canyon is a great place, because it's not to far away from home, but you could see the stars so well up there.
He was happy to take me, so after dinner we drove and found a good spot to go stargazing.
He was all prepared, he brought blankets and jackets to make sure that we were not freezing our butts off. It was such a nice view of the stars they looked so bright and the spot was perfect. After all the star gazing and mushy talk he needed to get his jacket because he wasn't wearing it. He left me there for a min and while I was just sitting there he called me over.
I turned around and I see Jordon all cute and nervous down on one knee holding the most prettiest ring I have ever seen. and that's when he asked "will you marry me?"

I was so surprised, excited, and happy at the same time. I couldn't believe that he proposed to me on my birthday. I obviously said yes, how can I say no to such a handsome loving guy.

So on my 21st birthday I got engaged to my best friend Jordon.
I couldn't have asked for anything better. I loved every single thing that he has done for me on my birthday. I can't wait to marry my best friend!

Jordon's Birthday.

Well summer vacation officially ended last week. I am back to the routine of waking up early, riding the trax and having long lectures from professors. But overall my summer was really good I did a lot of stuff. :)

Jordon's birthday is on August 19th which is close to the end of summer vacation so it was nice taking him out and enjoying not only our last summer days but his birthday.
I saved up a lot for him, he bought me an ipad mini for this past Christmas, and since i get paid a little bit better now i figured i had the chance this year to spoil the heck out of him.
First off I took him to Lagoon. We spent practically the whole day at the amusement park. We had a lot of fun going on rides and also the wet rides (like rattlesnake rapids). It was GREAT!
We ended our day in Lagoon with the Ferris wheel , which was totally romantic because we got a nice view of the sunset from up top. ;)

After that we went out to dinner and took him to the Macaroni Grill. We've never been there before and we ended up liking it a lot. We were lucky to get free deserts because our waitress messed up on my meal. The manager was nice enough to give us our own gelato. We tried not to finish it all because I wanted to get him a cheesecake from the cheesecake factory.
Jordon is not really a cake person, but he sure does love cheesecake. We bought one after dinner and ate it in city creek outside in the nice summer night weather.

It was getting pretty late, and we had a long day but I saved the best for last which was his presents. Yes after all that i still bought him stuff. He loved all of the gifts that i bought him, but one thing that i know for sure he was very excited about was his Flash wallet and a new ipad mini for him.

Jordon has done a lot for me and has been such a sweetheart, i feel like he deserve a new ipad that he could just enjoy for school or just to play games on.

I love him so much, and treats me like princess. I wanted to spoil him and make sure he had a great birthday. :)

Church Is True.

As you can see I'm pretty bad at keeping this blog updated. I'm getting use to this whole blogging thing.
Well the last two weeks have been pretty good.
My dad and my brother.

My brother turned eight in April, but because of his ear surgery we had to keep postponing he baptism. On August 3rd he finally got baptized! I can't believe he is getting so big! I still look at him as if he was just a little baby, but he is getting older and already making decisions all on his own. I was so glad I was able to see him get baptized next step for him is going on a mission (hopefully). :)

Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
Also the following week Jordon and I went to the temple together for the first time. No we did not get married, but we did baptisms for the dead and it was a wonderful experience. The temple that we went to was the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was a really good time being in the house of the Lord, there wasn't a lot of people so it was pretty quick but I still felt the spirit in there.

I love visiting the Temple, and I feel so lucky living in a place were there are so many temples around us. I do live in Utah so we are pretty spoiled here. Now my relief society are having this temple month were they are going to the temple once a week on this month of August, unfortunately I am working on the dates they are going. But that's not stopping me from going to the temple this month, I'm accepting the challenge but i'm just going on my own time.

San Diego Vacation.

Instead of dealing with 100 degree weather last week, I was enjoying 70 degree weather with my family and boyfriend in California. I've been looking forward to this vacation for a long time, and I'm sad it's over. I'm back to SLC, Utah :(

My trip to San Diego was AWESOME! I had a great time, to me it went by way fast. We left on Wednesday morning around 3 or 4 A.M and we got there around 5ish PM. So our first day we arrived we didn't do much, but I still wanted to explore the minute we got there.

After we got settled down and unpacked in the hotel Jordon and I borrowed the car to get bobba drinks. We are new in town so we couldn't understand the menu. There were a bunch of drinks listed on it and we weren't sure which had bobba, we asked and the employees weren't very helpful either. So we just ordered what sounded good, and it was pretty disgusting. We realized that we accidentally ordered milk ice tea bobba. We just threw those drinks away and called it a night.

The next day was pretty much our official first day, and we went to Sea World. We had a lot of fun, I was mostly with Jordon and my sister and we spent most of our day going on rides, but we did go see the dolphins, otters and other fishes. The park is so huge though and we weren't able to see everything. Since we got a seasons pass we thought we were going to go back and see more.
Sea World

However, Jordon and I really wanted to go the Zoo the next day, so my parents basically left my siblings with us to the zoo. The San Diego Zoo is so BIG! if i knew my brother was going to be such a baby about walking so much we should have taken the tour bus. but did get so see most of the animals at the zoo, they had a lot of baby animals like a giraffe, panda and a pink flamingo. They were so adorable.

There was also a little petting zoo by the kids section. We all had a good time feeding the little fat goats, and there were cute little ponies to look at as well. After that we wanted to go see the polar bears but that's is when my brother started being a little fussy and we had to call it a day.
petting the goats

Although we didn't go see the polar bears we figured we didn't miss much because we saw some at sea world anyways.

Now this day felt so fast for me because it was already Friday when we were at the Zoo, and my parents were planning on leaving on Saturday morning. Jordon and I were a little bummed that we didn't even get the chance to go to the beach yet. We did go for a little bit on Thursday but we didn't get wet. Thankfully we convinced my parents to let us go again and this time have more time to enjoy it before the sun went down.

So on Friday we did go to the Zoo but we went to the beach that day as well. It was Jordon's first time going to the beach and i could tell him loved it. He was very entertained with the waves with my brother and I. We also played in the sand a little and went to this little mini amusement/fair park near the beach we were at.

So we did do a lot on our last day in San Diego, I loved it so much over there i wish i could just spend the rest of my summer over there. That place has perfect weather.

We did explore a little bit of Vegas and St. George on our way back home but that was pretty much my summer vacation.

I'm so happy that my boyfriend was able to come, he made it more fun for me. :)

Called To Serve

This Sunday morning was a lot different than any other Sunday morning. It was around ten A.M that my sister woke me up saying that Marcela (my cousin) was on her way to my house because she finally got her mission call.
I got up checked my phone and I got a snapchat from her of a picture of an big envelope. I was so excited, the stake President told Marcela that she should be expecting it in about two weeks but it came within a week.
Marcela got home and she was so excited, i can tell that she wanted to open it already but we were just waiting for Imalai to arrive at my house.
Once everyone was home Marcela opened it, and she is called to Twin Falls, Idaho and has to report to the MTC on October 30, 2013!!!!

I am so happy for her, I've practically grew up with Marcela. We have been through a lot together good and bad times. But Marcela is like an older sister. Marcela has three months left before she leaves to her mission, so i want to try to spend as much time with her as i can because i'm going to miss her.

I know i haven't spent time with her as much because i'm normally with Jordon. but she is always there when i need her, which i appreciate.

these three months are going to go by fast, i can feel it.

Girls Night

this past Friday I finally had it off! It's been a while since I've hung out with my friends so we made it a girls night.
Ever since I started dating Jordon, I have lost contact with my friends. Now, my only friends that I have are my cousins.

I originally was going to hang out with Marcela, I kinda wanted to ask Imalai and Alma but most of the time they are with their mans ( just like me). However, Imalai was actually free for once and asked me if i wanted to have a girls night on friday. We asked Alma but i guess she was to busy.

So our girls night was Imalai, Marcela, and me :)

We had a good time. We went out to eat to our favorite restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings. It was fun pigging out and catching up. After that, we went to Provo to go dancing.

I missed going dancing on Friday nights, at one point I would get sick of it just because i use to go all the time ever since i was 16. But now i barely go, and i miss it.

The only thing that i don't miss is having to run away from the creeps. For once i didn't have any creeps ask me to dance but i did have two normal guys that asked.

I turned them down though, it was pretty awkward but i guess they were nice about it too. :)

I love dancing with Marcela she is like an expert in salsa dancing, which is my favorite. Imalai is really good in bachata so i like dancing with Imalai when those songs are on.

I sure missed these girls.

Wednesday Date Night. (day in the mountains)

Normally Jordon and I have Wednesday nights off and we usually go on dates that day of the week. So our date this week was up in the mountains. Last year we went hiking up in Park City and it was really nice, it our first time for the both of us in that place. This time I wanted to show him donut falls which is up in the canyons. I like going there because it's not that long of a drive but you can still enjoy the nature up in the mountains without having to drive long distance.

When I was in the young women i would go camping every year, so I'm use to being up in the mountains during the summer. I'm type of person who loves to escape the heat and be in the mountains where its all refreshing. My favorite part when i'm up there is looking up at the stars at night, you can see them so clear and there are so many. Anyways lets get back on topic. .. .

My sister was in camp this week so my brother was home all alone, since i'm such a good sister i took him with us. The hike is very hard it's only about a mile and a half and then you reach to a waterfall. It's so cool being up there because the water is extremely cold (since it mountain water) and just sitting by the waterfall is like sitting next to an air conditioner. It feels perfect for a summer day.

Now our hike was a little long than we planned. During our hike we got to a trail that was split, so we took a trail that took us to a different place, which ended up being a dead end. Yes my poor brother who wore his new shoes and gave him blisters was suffering. I felt bad for him but i really wanted to go to the waterfall. Jordon convinced me to go back and look for the waterfall anyways. My brother needed the exercise anyways.
We turned around and not even five minutes from where we took the wrong trial the waterfall was right there. I had to take Jordon to climb the waterfall with me. My brother just sat down in the bottom and watch me and Jordon climb up the waterfall. It feels so amazing being up there in the top. It's a little dangerous to climb the waterfall but once we reached to the top it felt really cool.
